About Meteor Miner

A rich asteroid belt, a lime-green mining fighter, and a lot of rock that does not want to be mined. Meteor Miner turns the shooter into a fifteen-stage demolition job: huge boulders tumble down the screen and split when you crack them, big ones into medium chunks and medium ones into fragments, so a careless volley can leave you surrounded by spinning debris. Saucer gunships drift in from the sides spraying rings of plasma, and later sectors add divers, gunboats and armored haulers between the rocks. Here nothing is lost when a meteor slips past the bottom — the danger is getting crushed — so the game is about positioning, steady aim and knowing when to stop shooting a field into pieces. You start with a piercing mining laser, and power-up drops are more generous than in the frontline campaign, letting you build a beam that drills straight through a falling cluster. Each sector ends with a claim-jumper mothership guarding its core with two turrets; some launch escort drones, others raise walls of fire with one narrow gap. Clear a sector without taking a hit to earn three stars.

How to play

Move with the mouse, the arrow keys or by dragging; your guns fire on their own. Big meteors split when destroyed, so keep room to dodge the pieces. Grab power-ups, bomb with Space or the bomb button, and break both boss turrets before the core.
