About Neon Arcade Air Hockey
Neon Arcade Air Hockey drops you behind a gleaming air table in the back room of a retro arcade, with humming cabinets along the walls, magenta and cyan LEDs racing down the rails and an LED scoreboard hanging over the far goal. Grab your mallet and the puck floats on a cushion of air, skating across the glossy surface with a glowing comet trail. Your mallet follows the mouse or your finger exactly, and the speed of your swing goes straight into the puck, so a flick of the wrist turns into a rocket that cracks off the rails and dives into the slot. The CPU opponent comes in three flavours taken straight from the original game: Easy is a relaxed rally partner, Medium reacts quickly and pushes forward, and Hard defends a high line, strikes hard and plays a best-of-three. First to seven wins. Prefer a human rival? Choose two players and the camera swings to a side-on view so each player owns one half of the table, with mouse or WASD on one side and the arrow keys or a second finger on the other. Every goal lights the slot in the scorer's colour, shakes the table and sends the crowd into a cheer.
How to play
Move the mouse (or drag on touch) to drive your mallet in your half; WASD and the arrow keys work too. Hit the puck while moving to shoot it hard, bank it off the rails and score in the far slot. First to seven goals wins.
