About Split Screen Speedway
Split Screen Speedway turns one keyboard into a living-room grudge match. The screen splits in two, each player gets a camera chasing their own little race car, and six computer drivers fill out the grid so there is always traffic to fight through on the way to the flag. Player one drives with W A S D and drifts with left Shift, player two takes the arrow keys and right Shift, and on a tablet each of you gets your own pair of steering pads on your side of the screen while the cars accelerate by themselves. The rules are the same as the main championship: drift through corners to charge a mini-turbo, run over glowing nitro pads, scoop up coins, avoid cones and oil, and bump your friend wide if they leave the door open. Pick any of eight circuits from the sunny coast road to the neon city at night, race a few laps and settle who really is the faster driver. Whoever crosses the line first takes the win and the bragging rights until the rematch.
How to play
Player 1: W to drive, A D to steer, Left Shift to drift. Player 2: ↑ to drive, ← → to steer, Right Shift to drift. First across the line after the last lap wins. On touch screens both cars accelerate by themselves: P1 steers on the left, P2 on the right.
