Morning light pours through the windows of a little corner café, and the line for breakfast is already out the door. Flip it early or late and you lose the golden finish; forget it and the kitchen fills with smoke. Stack one, two or three pancakes on a plate, crown them with butter, strawberries, whipped cream or banana, and pass them across the counter while the coffee machine and the orange juicer keep pouring. Fried eggs sizzle in their own pans for guests who want something savory. From the second week, food critics wander in: they pay several times the normal price but have half the patience, so a perfectly timed stack for a critic is the best moment of the day. How to play
Tap the griddle to pour a pancake and tap again when the orange flip badge appears; take it when it shows a tick. Tap a plate first, then add pancakes and toppings, and tap the finished stack to serve. Coffee, juice and fried eggs come from their own machines and pans.
